Overview The XYZ Schema provides structured datas and ontologies on all the XYZ APIs and applications. Ontology and vocabulary Schema.org The XYZ ontology extends the Schema.org and DBPedia ontologies. Schema.org provides a collection of schemas, i.e., html tags, that webmasters can use to markup their pages in ways recognized by major search providers. Search engines including Bing, Google, Yahoo! and Yandex rely on this markup to improve the display of search results, making it easier for people to find the right web pages. We use a part of the Schema.org ontology to defines the objects returns in the XYZ API. Depending on the requirements we will complete patterns with other types of ontologies but trying to keep up standards and simplicity. The full set of Dublin Core metadata terms can be found on the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) website.
